Public awareness campaign is an important on-going activity to achieve gradual change of attitude towards VAW. Brochure on project , DNA, National Trauma Counseling Centre, National Helpline Centre for Violence Against Women and Children, publication on institutional approach to combat violence against women and children in Bangladesh, role of Islam to combat violence against women and children, Introduction of National Forensic DNA Profiling Laboratory, leaflets on VAW helpline, VAW database, Poster on OCC, DNA, quarterly newsletter and e-newsletter have been published by the project and distributed among the Government and Non-Government organization. TV spots on sexual harassment, domestic violence, dowry, acid attack, child labour, helpline and TV drama on Trauma Counseling, Social Security, DNA test, Dowry and Sexual Harassment were developed and broadcast on Bangladesh Television and other private channel. Besides Radio Spot and magazine on the issue of OCC, DNA profiling was broadcast in Bangladesh Betar. Advertisements regarding project activities are publish in national dailies. Number of workshops on OCC and DNA activities, Psychological Counseling, DNA database, rehabilitation and awareness programme on VAW took place for different social and professional group. The project has created a VAW database consisting of VAW information collected from 24 national daily newspapers.
